Kristin Fisher joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. As a correspondent, she will cover everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. As the daughter of two NASA astronauts, Kristin was raised in the industry of space. She was a part of the space industry for five years, covering the Trump and Biden Space Policy of the Administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. As she covered the impeachment trials of two presidents as well as the 2020 Presidential Campaign as well as both administrations' efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus, Kristin covered a lot of other subjects. The extensive trips she took with the president and vice-president also included an exclusive trip to Afghanistan that she made with Donald Trump. Prior to being hired by the channel in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through the local news channels including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Utilizing her expertise behind the camera, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014, which was a specialist in documentary style films for clients of corporate nature, including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. Kristin is married to her daughter and three-year-old in Washington, D.C.
